Bycovoit with BlaBlaCar Daily
Bayeux Intercom supports the development of carpooling in its area by financially encouraging drivers to share their home-to-work commutes through the BlaBlaCar Daily app.
Drivers earn money on each ride, and passengers save on their daily travel costs.
How does it work?
Users download the BlaBlaCar Daily mobile app.
They enter their home and work addresses, as well as their schedules, to find suitable carpooling options (schedules can vary by day of the week).
Then, they indicate whether they are passengers and/or drivers.
The app connects users who share the same route at the same time.
Meeting points are automatically suggested, minimizing detours for the driver.
The driver receives a compensation of €2 to €3 per ride and per passenger, depending on the distance.
For passengers, the first 10 trips are free, then only €0.50 per ride, thanks to Bayeux Intercom’s support.
